About The Film:

The Big New-Mex Review: A Musical Journey Through the Land of Enchantment is more than a music documentary - it’s a celebration of New Mexico itself. Through live performances, personal stories, and cinematic landscapes, the film explores how Indigenous roots, mariachi, jazz, folk, country, Latin, rock, and hip hop converge to shape the music, culture, and identity of this unique place.

This project is a portrait of place, identity, and continuity. It shows how sound carries memory, how traditions evolve, and how New Mexico continues to inspire the artists who live and create here.

Live concerts form the backbone of the film, highlighting musical traditions across genres and generations. From the Eastern Plains to the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, from small clubs to open desert, The Big New-Mex Review shares the songs and stories of the people of the Land of Enchantment.
